In the Western states of the USA, a vast number of people and animals are injured and sometimes killed by these 'Prairie Rattlesnakes'.  Where there is a danger, these are caught and when they die, their skins are sold to make the most expensive shoes and other luxury items.  We have been lucky to be able to buy some of those snakeskins and from them, made some exquisite writing instruments using the particularly resilient Rhodium as the base metal and German technology for the inside engineering and nibs.  The embellishments are of 22Kt gold and rhodium.
