A Tree in Snow
By Penny Loseby

This platter has been kept by the Loseby family for sentimental reasons but there are other platters availably through the Dansel Gallery in Abbotsbury, Dorset.  You can visit their website by CLICKING HERE

It is possible to create new works for commissions but this is totally dependant upon suitable timber becoming available

This 8" (approx) platter is created from a piece of Spalted Beech that grew on the estate of the Stately Home, Boughton House near Kettering.  This is the Northamptonshire home of the Duke of Buccleuch.

The picture depicts an old lane covered in snow
